Register of Definitive Map Modification Order applications

Please use one of the options below to search the register.

Section 53B of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires English surveying authorities to keep a register, which will help to increase knowledge among landowners, users of rights of way, and the general public about applications which could result or have resulted in changes to the definitive map and/or statement.

Authorities are required to record all applications which have been made and not determined before the 31st December 2005, regardless of when the application was received.

The details of each application can be viewed by following the links from the applications displayed in the search results. If you have a problem finding a particular application please contact the Rights of Way Definitive Map Team on 01305 224719.

Electronic and paper versions of the Register are available for inspection at the Rights of Way office in County Hall, Colliton Park Dorchester DT1 1XJ during our normal office hours. However, it is strongly recommended that you make an appointment to view the Register in advance.
